I’ve felt this excitement before when a new technology has the potential to change learning exponentially. Students and parents, check this out and download this! Its capacity is too broad for me to explain here.
My dear students and parents,
Please note that I’ve made two changes to the last post. Our first performance class will be on Oct. 10, since MEA weekend begins the following weekend. Also, our November class will be on Nov. 7 to precede the Mary West Competition and Winners’ Recital.
Thank you, and I’m sorry for any confusion.
Now it’s time to practice.
Love,
Lucia

Welcome Baby Kellan!
Hi Parents and Students,
It’s past time to get out the colored pencils for your busy calendars. Here are the dates for Saturday performance classes for the semester:
Saturdays at 9:30: Oct. 10, Nov. 7, Dec. 12
Class recital: Sunday, Dec. 13, 2 p.m.
All other Saturday classes begin at 9:30. In fairness to the students who have lessons after class, please arrive a bit earlier.
Other business: The Mary West Solo Competition Is scheduled for Nov. 15 from noon to 6 p.m. The application deadline is October 16. Check with me first, but you can apply online at www.MNSOTA.org
My ASTA member number is 31169
Those students studying chamber music with Bruce on Saturdays have been contacted by Bruce.
We are so excited about this year!
Cheers,
Lucia
Hi, Everyone,
I know I’ve told most of you but Bruce and I have a family reunion this week. We will have our hands full, but can see you starting August 11, Tuesday. Just be sure to check in about your times, even if you had a steady time before now.
See you soon, and I hope you keep enjoying your summer! Don’t forget the playing lists up on Classicalarchives.com.
Hi All,
I hope you’re enjoying your summer! We are back in the saddle after Bravo, and ready for lessons for those of you in town. Give a call or email. Aside from a couple of quick trips, we are around and pretty available. Looking forward!

Here is the events calendar for Bravo! 2015. Come hear wonderful music all month, free and open to the public.
Hi, Students and Parents,
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for class at 10 to approximately noon. The three students playing the Bach Double Concerto can arrive at 9:30 for rehearsal.
I’m excited to tell you about a new app I discovered. It is called Anytune. Finally the younger students can listen to their pieces at a slower tempo without a drop in pitch!! Those of you with younger students who have bought your Suzuki recordings on iTunes can import them to Anytune, listen to them slowly, and even play along once in a while with a piano accompaniment feature.
Another step into this century is that I now can accept credit cards, would you believe. I probably won’t ever say “Will this be a check or credit card today?” but if it is helpful to you, feel free.
See you tomorrow!
