Dear Students and Parents,

Here are a couple of photos from our recent Patricia Kopachinskaja weeks. The first is with my former violin teacher, Taras Gabora, who came to town from B.C. to hear her. The second is backstage with students after her final concert at Ted Mann.

NEWS:

This Saturday, December 13, is our dress rehearsal for our Sunday recital.                          Saturday morning:

at 9 a.m. the Halls rehearse with Jiyoung.

At 9:30, Finn and Fiona rehearse with Jiyoung.

At 10 a.m. Group A, (Books One and Two) plus Sean, Ansley, Giovanna have arrived and are ready to go. The Schubert kids Meriel and Imala will be rehearsing until they come upstairs to play their solos after our 11 a.m. break, along with Selena.

Please arrive ten or 15 minutes early to tune, warm up your hands, and be ready to go. It takes a few minutes to remove your boots and coats! For those of you newbies, a dress rehearsal has nothing to do with what you wear. You can save your fancy clothes for the recital on Sunday at 3. Please arrive at 2:30 on Sunday. We’ll have pizza on Sunday afterward. Stay tuned for food sign ups!
