Dear Students and Parents,

This Saturday, Sept. 27, will be our first Performance Class of the year. I’d like to start rehearsing The Group B kids (Finn, Giovanna, Sean) at 9 a.m. The Group A kids (those in the Saturday morning classes) can come and rehearse at 9:30. At 10:15 we’ll start class. At 10:45 we will take a break and then hear the Group B kids. We will finish by 11:30. We won’t be hearing chamber music at this class, but will at the October class.

This schedule leaves some of you Group B kids waiting around, but you can use the time to play some of your Bartok duos, read, or listen to the others’ rehearsals. You and parents do not need to stay the entire time, but it may be most convenient and you are welcome to.

I’ll provide apple juice and cookies. It is always nice when you help by bringing nut-free snacks, fruit, bagels, or veggies. I’ll have crayons for the youngest siblings. It is usually best if they listen from the dining room table with a parent.

For the calendar, please note that I will not be teaching between Saturday, Oct. 4, through Tuesday, Oct. 7.
